It's been a while . . . sorry!
I have been in Korea for nearly three months now and I have already been lucky enough to experience Thanksgiving dinner with Jason and his co-workers. Thanks to a Korean friend we were able to purchase a turkey here in Korea that was absolutely delicious! Liz went out of her way and made an exceptionally good dinner. Thanks Liz!!!
Turkey in the oven
(Two things you will rarely see in Korea: an oven and a turkey)
Liz cutting up some carrots. Yum!
Potatoes, Carrots, and gravy are all cooking...
Stuffing ingredients and pumpkin pies
Mixing of the stuffing
The stuffing is ready to be baked
All of the vessies used to create a salad. I got to help with dinner!
Julianne + knives = ______
You fill in the blank. :)
I think we bought a few too many vegetables. There is hardly any lettuce in this bowl and it was not a small bowl. Everyone seemed to enjoy the veggies despite the lack of lettuce.
Pre-setting of the table. Doesn't it look so pretty :)
Cooked turkey!!!
Liz and Shane were smart and utilized aprons
Shane carving the turkey
Earl waiting for his mashed potatoes. . . who can blame him? :)
Thanksgiving dinner!
Good company :)
Dinner on a plate. Yum! (or Nom!!!)
("Nom," by the way, is a word used back home by friends who wish to express their desire to eat delicious food or to describe having eaten delicious food.)
Shane whipping an enormous bowl of whipped cream to enjoy with the pies.
Pumpkin pies and enormous bowl of whipped cream
Perfect ending to a wonderful meal
Can't wait for American Thanksgiving to come around so we can do this again. :D
